The International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) is the internationally recognized certifying agency for lactation consultants. IBLCE’s mission is to develop the internationally recognized certification standard and award credentials to individuals who demonstrate competence in providing breastfeeding assistance to mothers and children worldwide.

IBLCE’s certification program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) and IBLCE is a member of the National Organization for Competency Assurance (NOCA). The International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA) recognizes the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners as the official certifying agency for lactation consultants worldwide.
